The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mamadaliev shoots for a double leg takedown but McDougall sprawls well. He's pushed Mamadaliev's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
McDougall tries to bum rush Mamadaliev with a series of wild strikes but Mamadaliev uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Mamadaliev throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. McDougall tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Mamadaliev is in McDougall's guard.
McDougall striking off his back but it's not causing Mamadaliev any problems.

McDougall looking for a guillotine here but Mamadaliev defends easily.
Mamadaliev must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

McDougall has momentary wrist control but Mamadaliev slips an elbow through the middle.

Oh McDougall is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Mamadaliev loads up on a big left hand. McDougall felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Mamadaliev looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! McDougall can't hide his disappointment, as Mamadaliev celebrates the victory.
