Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alzonz Appalusu (ranked 920 p4p, 119 weight class) and Josu Aingeru (ranked 811 p4p, 106 weight class). Appalusu comes into the arena with Rocky theme song blaring out of the sound system. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Darius Henderson and Francis DeMontford.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Appalusu shoots in for a takedown but Aingeru shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Appalusu dives in and grabs Aingeru's left leg, looking for a takedown. Aingeru pushes down on Appalusu's head and hops out.
Aingeru connects with a nice looking jab.
Appalusu fails with the takedown.

Appalusu has Aingeru pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Aingeru manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Appalusu is trying to drag Aingeru to the mat but Aingeru just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Appalusu is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Aingeru makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Aingeru lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Appalusu drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Aingeru gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Aingeru lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Aingeru lands a hook that snaps the head of Appalusu backwards.

Oh Appalusu is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Aingeru tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Aingeru.
Appalusu seems to have got his legs back now.
Aingeru creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Appalusu with a big uppercut! Appalusu tries to clinch up but Aingeru pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Appalusu to the mat! Appalusu covers up and Aingeru unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Josu Aingeru!
An out of breath Josu Aingeru thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
