The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

um is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Mcclain's half guard.
Mcclain is looking for a sweep. um is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Mcclain could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Still in half guard, um seems content to control.
um not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Mcclain avoiding damage under a succession of punches from um.
um lands with a punch from half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
um passes the guard and advances to mount!
um has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Mcclain can't escape the position.

um postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Mcclain looks a forlorn figure.
