Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Akaro Horiguchi (ranked 2412 p4p, 258 weight class) and Rodger Bell (ranked 2480 p4p, 265 weight class). Horiguchi comes to the cage accompanied by Girl From The North Country. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Akaro Horiguchi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rodger Bell!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Thiago Cunha and Edson Gomes.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bell will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Horiguchi moves into range and clinches up with Bell.
Bell trying to stall but Horiguchi improves his position.
A nice left hand lands by Horiguchi.
Horiguchi wants a takedown but no success here.
Bell takes an elbow to the temple.
A shot in the inside from Horiguchi.
Horiguchi pushes Bell back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Horiguchi has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Horiguchi manages to break the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
An inside leg kick lands from Horiguchi.
Bell on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Horiguchi. Horiguchi obviously looking to wear him down.
Horiguchi scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Bell doesn't seem bothered though.

Horiguchi avoids a punch combination nicely.

Bell throws a head kick that misses.
Horiguchi appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Bell misses with a kick to the body.
Bell drops his hands momentarily and Horiguchi takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Horiguchi pushes Bell up against the cage in a clinch.
Horiguchi lands with a right to the head.
Horiguchi lands a right hand that snaps the head of Bell backwards.
Horiguchi digs a right hand underneath Bell's ribcage. Bell let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Bell looks winded!
Horiguchi lands a left hand that snaps the head of Bell backwards.
Horiguchi lands with a left to the head.

Bell is rocked!
A right handed body shot lands from Horiguchi.
Bell is still on wobbly legs! Can Horiguchi finish him?

Horiguchi dips a shoulder and cracks Bell with a mighty uppercut! Bell falls back against the cage and Horiguchi unloads with a barrage of strikes! Bell is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Horiguchi screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
