PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Leonardo Yoshi (ranked 2757 p4p, 159 weight class) and KG Testerton (ranked 24649 p4p, 316 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Testerton drives through with a takedown into Yoshi's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Testerton drops back, looking for a kneebar! Yoshi looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Yoshi looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Yoshi!

Yoshi decides to stand back up. Yoshi steps back and let's Testerton get back to his feet.
Yoshi really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Testerton tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Yoshi is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Testerton can't fight it off and eventually Yoshi manages to take the fight to the floor. Testerton looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Yoshi wants to get up but he can't break Testerton's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Yoshi drives through and clinches with Testerton against the cage.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Yoshi turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Yoshi is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Testerton is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Testerton is trying to hold Yoshi in close to prevent damage but Yoshi has managed to pass into half guard.

Yoshi is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Yoshi knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Testerton on the ground.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Testerton wants to get back to full guard.

Testerton is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Yoshi has latched onto it... Big trouble! Yoshi pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Testerton is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Yoshi!
