Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Otto Tallus!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
10 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Duke Lupus!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tallus fails to land the takedown.
Duke Lupus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lupus drives through and clinches with Tallus against the cage.
Tallus blocks the elbow strike.
Tallus has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Lupus is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Tallus dodges an elbow strike from Lupus.
Tallus can't get the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Otto Tallus. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Tallus takes an elbow to the temple.
It looks like Otto Tallus has been cut.
Tallus has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Lupus throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Tallus dodges an elbow strike from Lupus.
Tallus takes an elbow to the forehead.
Tallus takes an elbow to the temple.
Tallus changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Lupus fights it off and pushes away nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lupus wants to clinch
and Tallus counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lupus can do anything to dispel that myth.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Tallus stalling.
Lupus is looking for a sweep. Tallus is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Tallus is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Tallus trying to pass the guard but Lupus defending well.
Tallus passes the guard and advances to mount!
Lupus has left one of his arms exposed and Tallus doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Lupus screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
