Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mary Saunders (ranked 5888 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gavril Yeremia (ranked 7331 p4p, 0 weight class). Yeremia is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Litaniae Sanctorum. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yeremia throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Saunders.
Saunders really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Saunders takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Saunders tries for a takedown but Yeremia circles away easily
and Yeremia counters with a stiff right hand.
Yeremia scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Saunders doesn't seem bothered though.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Saunders.
Saunders effectively controlling the action here.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Saunders wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Yeremia takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Saunders throws a big counter combination but Yeremia scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Yeremia pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Saunders back to the cage. Yeremia follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Yeremia leaves Saunders with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Yeremia can do anything to dispel that myth.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Yeremia really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Saunders. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

That was a close second round but I would say that Mary Saunders will probably get the nod.
