And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marco Anjos!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Lou da Vinci and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anjos shoots in for a takedown but Perry shows good takedown defense.
Anjos fails with the takedown.

Anjos rushes Perry and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Anjos tries to pull guard but Perry won't allow it.

Marco Anjos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Perry rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Anjos moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Anjos steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Perry.

Anjos tries to score a power double leg takedown but Perry sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Anjos somewhat.
Perry really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Perry throws a right and a left that both miss.
Anjos throws a leg kick which misses Perry's front leg but catches the back leg as Perry tries to avoid it.
Anjos is looking to clinch but Perry is avoiding it.

Perry shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Anjos napping and manages to drive through into side control!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Perry wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Anjos tries to close the distance and clinch up but Perry swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Anjos shoots in looking for a takedown but Perry manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Anjos's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
As Anjos tries to get set, Perry tries to push him back and clinch up but Anjos manages to avoid the attempt.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Dorian Perry.
Well Perry has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
