Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Early Grayce (ranked 657 p4p, 96 weight class) and Jesse Kilpatrick (ranked 815 p4p, 114 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Early Grayce !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jesse Kilpatrick!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Cecil Peabody and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kilpatrick misses with a shot to the body
enabling Grayce to counter with a crisp jab.
Grayce has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Kilpatrick finds it's way round the side to connect with Grayce 's head.
Kilpatrick gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Grayce .
Grayce uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kilpatrick.
Grayce misses with an uppercut
and Kilpatrick connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Kilpatrick moves out of range of the strikes.
Grayce looks to land a right hand but Kilpatrick moved out of range.
Kilpatrick fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Grayce manages to avoid it.
Grayce uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Kilpatrick.
Kilpatrick has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Kilpatrick just misses with a punch to the body.

Grayce shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Grayce tries to pass the half guard into mount. Kilpatrick knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Kilpatrick tries to get to full guard but Grayce has control of the leg.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Grayce drops back looking for a leg! Kilpatrick is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kilpatrick manages to kick Grayce off! Grayce jumps back into Kilpatrick's guard.
Grayce makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Kilpatrick is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Kilpatrick seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Grayce makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Grayce .
Grayce seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Grayce working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kilpatrick doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kilpatrick manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Kilpatrick lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Kilpatrick is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Grayce has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Kilpatrick is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Grayce .
Kilpatrick connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Grayce some visible discomfort.

Kilpatrick scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Grayce to see if he's OK.

Grayce can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Kilpatrick controls the pace.
Kilpatrick postures up and lands a big shot to Grayce 's brow.

Grayce is looking to cinch up a triangle. Kilpatrick throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Grayce 's body to avoid the submission. Grayce has instead reached around Kilpatrick's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Grayce arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
