Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Coiote Magrin (ranked 3425 p4p, 386 weight class) and Sydney Thift (ranked 3641 p4p, 398 weight class). Sydney Thift is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, John Mangel and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thift has closed the distance and engaged Magrin in a clinch.
Thift lands a shoulder strike.
Magrin is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Thift to keep the fight standing.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Thift just misses with a elbow thrown towards Magrin's brow.

Thift has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Magrin seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Thift can turn it around.

Magrin will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

and Thift counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Thift is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Thift lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Magrin is looking for a triangle but Thift pushes his legs off easily.
Thift is working Magrin over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Thift really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Magrin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Oh but Magrin is tightening it up a little... Thift has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Thift reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Thift taps out! Nice BJJ there by Magrin!
