Coming up we have a middleweight kickboxing rules bout between Jason Abbott (ranked 23163 p4p, 493 weight class) and Porky Nobriega (ranked 23348 p4p, 522 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Porky Nobriega was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nobriega has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Nobriega there as he acknowledges the shot.
Nobriega throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Nobriega fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Abbott manages to avoid it.
Abbott is looking to counter punch.
Abbott cracks a nice hook into Nobriega's ribs.
Nobriega takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Nobriega throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Abbott fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Abbott scores with a nice strike.
Nobriega darts in trying to clinch

and Abbott counters with a really nice, stiff jab that drops Nobriega onto his ass. He'll have to take the mandatory count from the referee but he's back on his feet and he seems OK to continue.

Abbott looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Nobriega ducks into a a hook from Abbott and goes down! He looks in a bit of a mess; will he beat the count?! 4,5,6,7,8 - he's up and looking to carry on! The referee looks into his eyes and sees that he's OK to continue!

Abbott cracks Nobriega with a left hand that drops him to the canvas, up against the ropes! Can Nobriega get back up in time? 3, 4, 5, 6, 7... he's on one knee... 8, 9... he's up! 'Walk towards me' says the referee. Nobriega looks steady enough to continue so we're going to continue!
Abbott has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Abbott is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Abbott gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Nobriega breaks from the clinch.

Abbott cracks Nobriega with a perfect right hand that drops him to the mat! Nobriega is sitting up but I can't see if he's OK from my position. The referee's count has reached 5,6,7 and Nobriega is still not up. Can he make it? 8,9, he's up! Wow, he cut that one a bit fine!
Nobriega walks straight into devastating uppercut and drops to the floor, clearly wobbled! Can he beat the count? 4,5,6,7... he's up! And he's down again! The ref steps in and calls an end to the fight! What a punch that was!
