Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mervin Woodard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Johhny Jenkins!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Daniel Franklin and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Woodard pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Woodard shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jenkins pinned against the cage. Jenkins gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Woodard sets himself, and Jenkins steps forward looking for the clinch! Woodard avoids it this time.
Woodard shoots in looking for a takedown. Jenkins tries to sprawl out of it but Woodard keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jenkins manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
As Woodard backs off Jenkins throws a huge counter combo but Woodard manages to avoid it all.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jenkins throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Woodard scores with a knee to the head.
Woodard wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Woodard wants to break free but Jenkins has control.
Jenkins tries to circle away but Woodard has him pinned against the cage.

Jenkins escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Jenkins closes the distance and pushes Woodard back into the cage.

Woodard is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

Jenkins's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Woodard closes the distance and clinches.
Jenkins creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Woodard really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Jenkins breaks the clinch.
Jenkins circles away from the clinch attempt.
Jenkins lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Jenkins throws a push kick but Woodard slaps the foot to one side.
Woodard tries to clinch up.
Woodard avoids a punch combination nicely.
Woodard tries to clinch up but Jenkins circles away and keeps his distance.

A left and a right from Jenkins both land. Nice combination.

Woodard gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Jenkins to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Woodard wants to get back to his feet but Jenkins passes into half guard.

Jenkins tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Woodard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jenkins stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Jenkins throws a right hand that Woodard ducks under and follows up with a left that Woodard also avoids with ease.
Jenkins avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Woodard tries to clinch but Jenkins is having none of it.
Despite the aggression on Jenkins's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Jenkins!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Jenkins fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Woodard has taken the fight to the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Johhny Jenkins dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Jenkins has managed to clinch.

Jenkins breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Jenkins tries to keep at a distance but Woodard has taken the fight into the clinch.

Woodard escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jenkins misses with a double jab.

Jenkins clinches up with Woodard and pushes him back against the cage.

Jenkins is trying to maintain a safe position but Woodard gets an underhook and turns Jenkins into the cage.

Woodard is looking to clinch but Jenkins is avoiding it.

and Woodard takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Jenkins circles away from the clinch attempt
and Jenkins counters with a nice uppercut.
Jenkins lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

Jenkins turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Jenkins scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Jenkins has taken the fight to the clinch.
Johhny Jenkins seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.
Woodard looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Jenkins wants to break the clinch but can't.
Jenkins looking to slow down the pace here.

Jenkins breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Woodard dodges the punch combination from Jenkins.
Jenkins scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Woodard takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.


Woodard is rocked!
Jenkins batters Woodard with a massive right followed by a huge left! Woodard is out on his feet looking like a zombie as Jenkins lands a final crushing right hand to drop Woodard to the mat with a gruesome thud! Jenkins is running around like a mad man after that fight and for good reason!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Johhny Jenkins!
A relieved looking Johhny Jenkins thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
