Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ronald Dregan!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Taro Takaoka and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dregan instigates a clinch.

Dregan is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Delaney can't fight it off and eventually Dregan manages to take the fight to the floor. Delaney looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

It looks like Dregan might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Delaney closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Delaney lands in his opponent's guard.
Dregan is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Dregan seems keen to control Delaney's posture.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dregan turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Dregan manages to end up in side control.
Dregan is staying tight to Delaney's torso, preventing him from escaping.

Let's hope that Dregan has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Delaney tries to clinch there but Dregan circles away.
Delaney shoots in for a takedown but Dregan shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Delaney misses with a takedown attempt - Dregan sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Dregan gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

Dregan sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Delaney's guard.
Dregan moves into full mount! Delaney won't be happy about that!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Ronald Dregan is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Well Dregan has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
