Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dana Evans!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Nick Greek!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Greek clinches up against the cage.
Greek lands with a short shot to the head.
Evans tries to pull guard but Greek won't allow it.

Evans ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Evans no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Evans could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Evans wants to hit a switch here but Greek passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Evans there!

Greek looking for a guillotine from mount but Evans is having none of it.
Greek wants to control the pace but Evans is squirming around nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Evans is looking to get to half guard.
Greek lands a big elbow.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Greek jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Evans is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Evans and Greek has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Evans is looking for a sweep.
Evans is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Greek throws a strike but Evans avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Greek slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Greek looking to pass the guard.

Evans working for a triangle but Greek defends it easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Greek wants to control from the top but Evans keeps moving.

Evans had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Greek defends it easily.
Evans keeping moving, preventing Greek from controlling successfully.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Greek is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Evans is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Evans has escaped and now he's on top!

Evans content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Greek trying to control the position.

Greek has his foot on Evans's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Evans works his way back into a safe position though.

Evans stands up over Greek, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Evans keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Greek's head.

Evans works over Greek with some ground and pound from guard.
Evans missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Greek controls Evans momentarily but Evans frees himself.

Greek is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Greek looks winded!
Evans cracks Greek with a solid left hand.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Evans keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Greek's head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dana Evans dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!



Greek feints and as Evans raises his hands in defense, Greek changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Evans is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Greek has his hands clasped together but Evans extends and breaks Greek's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Evans.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Dana Evans!
