Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Johansson Redjerson!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Ian Loll and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Redjerson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Gould is trying to escape back to his feet but Redjerson uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Gould really is a fat lump.
Gould manages to work his way to half guard, despite Redjerson's best efforts.
Gould is looking to improve his position.

Gould actively working from the bottom here.
Gould is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Gould manages to get to full guard.
Redjerson trying to control the position from guard on top but Gould is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Redjerson won't allow Gould to get back to his feet.
Redjerson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Redjerson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gould. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Gould is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Redjerson presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Gould has one foot on Redjerson's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gould shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Redjerson as he jumps to the side.

Gould clinches up with Redjerson and pushes him back against the cage.

Gould's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Gould controlling the action here for a moment.

Redjerson jumps into guard, dragging Gould to the mat.

Redjerson wants to sweep here but Gould controlling him for the moment.
Redjerson is striking but Gould is not phased and passes to half guard.
Still in half guard, Gould seems content to control.
Redjerson wants to sweep but Gould has passed to side control!
Gould is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Redjerson is trying to improve his position.
Gould looks up at the clock and then as Redjerson takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Gould smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Redjerson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Gould is looking for a triangle but Redjerson pushes his legs off easily.

Gould manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Redjerson manages to get himself to full guard.

Redjerson might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Gould haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Redjerson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Gould slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Redjerson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Gould makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Gould got a little sloppy there for a moment and Redjerson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gould has managed to get both his arms back between Redjerson's legs - danger averted.
Gould's corner is telling him to maintain position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gould has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Gould is pushing down on Redjerson's leg trying to pass to half guard. Redjerson is fighting to maintain full guard but Gould has managed to sneak the leg through.

Redjerson wants to control but Gould is keeping busy and won't allow it.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Gould throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Redjerson postures up and lands a big shot to Gould's brow.

Redjerson is working an open guard so Gould takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Gould is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Redjerson can do to turn this around?
Redjerson misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Gould.
Gould dives in and grabs Redjerson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Redjerson pushes down on Gould's head and hops out.

Gould tries to sprawl but Redjerson drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Gould pushes Redjerson off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Redjerson misses with a head kick.
Gould shoots in and drives through. Redjerson sprawls well.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Gould wriggles free and stands up.
Gould shoots in for a double leg but Redjerson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Redjerson lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.



Redjerson looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Gould!

Redjerson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Gould manages to capitalize on a mistake by Redjerson to take his back!
Gould is riding his opponent, not letting Redjerson buck him off.
Gould seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Redjerson for as long as he can get away with.

Gould is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Redjerson defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Redjerson is trying to defend against the choke here but Gould has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Gould Tightens the hold and Redjerson taps out furiously! Gould displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
