Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Oscar Larraza (ranked 2787 p4p, 302 weight class) and Ahmad Lazzez (ranked 4187 p4p, 415 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Oscar Larraza!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ahmad Lazzez!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Lou da Vinci and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Larraza lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

We've been told by Larraza's head coaches at Doom's Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Larraza stuns Lazzez with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Larraza has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Lazzez is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Larraza looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Lazzez with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Larraza is trying to control the action in half guard but Lazzez is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Larraza takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Larraza has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Lazzez slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Lazzez has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Larraza to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Lazzez is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Larraza pulls down on the head and he's put Lazzez to sleep! This one is all over!
