Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sultan Malt!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Vladimir Khabensky and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Salazar jabs Malt to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Salazar misses the shot to the body.

Malt clinches.

Malt's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Malt clinches up against the cage.
Malt prevents a takedown attempt there.

Salazar breaks from the clinch.
Both fighters circling a little - Salazar finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Malt misses with a straight right.

Malt closes the distance and clinches.
Malt has had enough of the clinch but Salazar keeps him there for the moment.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Malt's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Salazar closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Malt did well to prevent Salazar getting side control.
Salazar working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Salazar has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Malt pushes Salazar off, looking to escape but Salazar dives into side control. He's locked up a kimura now - that was fast! He's cranking on it and Malt is forced to tap! The fight is over!
