PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Bornholm (ranked 1746 p4p, 216 weight class) and Yeshua Immanuel (ranked 2282 p4p, 277 weight class). Yeshua Immanuel told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Immanuel checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Bornholm looks for the body kick but Immanuel saw that one coming.

Immanuel throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Bornholm tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Immanuel is in Bornholm's guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Immanuel shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Bornholm eats them both and turns towards Immanuel to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
