The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tormenta moves into range and clinches up with James.
Tormenta fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Our sources have told us that James has been working on his elbows in the gym.
Tormenta tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
James tries a body shot but Tormenta blocks it.
James has a couple of punches blocked by Tormenta.
James is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Tormenta pulls guard effortlessly.
James has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
James wants to get up but he can't break Tormenta's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
James postures up in Tormenta's guard and throws a big left but Tormenta blocks it.
James wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Tormenta's closed guard. He's half up but Tormenta has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Tormenta pivots and extends the arm, James falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Tormenta! Well done that man!

During a confident post fight interview, Fray Tormenta thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
Tyson James spoke after the fight, saying 'When I am defeated, I stay humble. I was defeated by the better man today. I wish Fray the best in his future title defenses. I will return to the top and get that belt! '.
