Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
9 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, Prince Tonni!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kobayashi Jin!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Robert Twigg and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jin lands with an overhand left.
Nice shot by Jin.
Tonni takes a jab right on the kisser.
Tonni takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Tonni is rocked!
Tonni misses with the combination.
Jin lands a nice looking body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jin scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Jin connects with a body shot that sends Tonni's belly button to the back.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Jin jabs at Tonni's body.
Tonni swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
letting Jin counter with a right hand.
Jin throws a nice looking combination but Tonni bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Jin cracks a nice hook into Tonni's ribs.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Jin has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Jin scores with a nice strike.
Jin shoots in looking for a takedown. Tonni tries to sprawl out of it but Jin keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Tonni manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Jin lands with an overhand left.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jin dodges the punch combination from Tonni.
Jin throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Tonni on the side of the head.
Jin lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Oh Tonni is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Jin cracks Tonni with a hook to the temple - Tonni is on wobbly legs here! Jin swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Tonni falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Jin wins by TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Kobayashi Jin!
