Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between John Hogan (ranked 4578 p4p, 332 weight class) and Koryu Miyagi (ranked 4220 p4p, 317 weight class). Hogan comes to the cage accompanied by In The End - Linkin Park. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, John Hogan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Koryu Miyagi!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Stewart Dunkirk and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hogan shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Miyagi as he jumps to the side.

Hogan clinches up with Miyagi and pushes him back against the cage.
Miyagi controlling the action here for a moment.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Hogan.
Miyagi landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Miyagi tries a body shot but Hogan blocks it.
Miyagi stalls.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Miyagi pulls guard effortlessly.
Miyagi lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Hogan has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Miyagi is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Hogan.
Miyagi cracks Hogan with a big right hand but Hogan just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Miyagi is putting a hurting on Hogan here, landing some big shots from side control.
Hogan is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Miyagi moves into range and clinches up with Hogan.

Hogan wants to finish this one by submission but Miyagi is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Hogan.
Miyagi wants to hold on but Hogan pushes him away.

Hogan jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Miyagi manages to avoid the submission attempt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Miyagi manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Hogan is trying to work for a kimura but Miyagi is defending well.
Hogan not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Miyagi is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Hogan's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Hogan's back!

Miyagi has got one arm under Hogan's chin. This could be trouble... Hogan trying to control the other hand but Miyagi gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Hogan has tapped out! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Koryu Miyagi!
In his post fight interview, Koryu Miyagi started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
The defeated John Hogan had this to say: 'I thought I could defend his takedowns and strikes and I was wrong. But I will be back.'.
