Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Xavier Merlin (ranked 1188 p4p, 140 weight class) and Tud Stoddler (ranked 131 p4p, 16 weight class). Stoddler comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Arcade Fire - Ready to Start kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

17 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tud Stoddler!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stoddler swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Merlin throws a hook but Stoddler blocks it.
And Stoddler responds with a good body kick, but Merlin manages to step out the way in time.
A punch combination from Merlin misses.
Merlin misses with a hook.
Merlin connects with a jab.
Stoddler throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Merlin rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Stoddler cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Merlin misses with a hook.
Stoddler lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Merlin is rocked!
Stoddler keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Merlin.
Merlin connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Stoddler moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Merlin just misses with a punch to the body.
Stoddler now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Merlin looks up at the clock. Bad move! Stoddler lands a right hand from hell, dropping Merlin. Stoddler pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tud Stoddler!
Tud Stoddler decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
