The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lane tries for a takedown but Tubigon sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Tubigon looks for a takedown but Lane sprawls well.
Lane lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Tubigon shoots in for a takedown but Lane shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Lane has Tubigon up against the cage in a clinch.
Lane drops down looking for an ankle pick but Tubigon pulls his leg out and moves away.
Lane misses with a head kick.

Lane rushes Tubigon and presses him up against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tubigon is trying to maintain a safe position but Lane gets an underhook and turns Tubigon into the cage.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Lane as Tubigon tries to tie him up.
Lane wants to take the fight to the mat but Tubigon manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
BJ Tubigon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Peter Lane.

Tubigon breaks the clinch.

Lane dives in and grabs Tubigon's left leg, looking for a takedown. Tubigon pushes down on Lane's head and hops out.
Lane circles away from the clinch attempt.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Tubigon enables Lane to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Tubigon manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Lane has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Lane drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Lane seems to have locked his on tight now - Tubigon screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Lane, as he picks up the win!
