Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Vegas (ranked 3128 p4p, 327 weight class) and Scott Watt (ranked 2356 p4p, 257 weight class). Vegas comes to the cage accompanied by Ace Of Spades by Motorhead. Watt has chosen Edmund Fitzgerald as his entrance music. Johnny Vegas has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 17 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Johnny Vegas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 37 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Scott Watt!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Robert Twigg and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vegas misses with a two punch combination.
Watt throws a shot from downtown. Vegas moves away and avoids it.
Watt takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Vegas swinging wildly here.
Watt's corner calls for a 1-2. Watt obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Watt misses with a wild combination.
Watt bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Vegas throws a hook but Watt avoids it easily.
Vegas avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Vegas throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Watt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Watt shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Vegas sprawls well. Vegas wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Watt gets slowly back to his feet.

Vegas dives in for a single leg takedown but Watt sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Vegas on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Watt takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Watt dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Watt shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Vegas napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Watt looks up at the clock and then as Vegas takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Watt smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Watt fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Vegas to the ground. Watt is now in Vegas's guard.

Watt controls Vegas momentarily but Vegas frees himself.

Vegas tries to free his leg and advance position but Watt is retaining full guard.

Vegas looking to sit in guard and control but Watt gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Watt is in close to Vegas's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Vegas working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Watt doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Watt manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Watt passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Vegas!

Watt has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Vegas's face.
Watt unloads with some shots from mount but Vegas bucks and avoids them well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Scott Watt showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Watt manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Vegas on his heels. He'll look to pass Vegas's guard now, I'm sure.

Johnny Vegas has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Watt bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Vegas's guard.

Watt working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Vegas's head.
Watt stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Vegas swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Vegas isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Watt stacks Vegas on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Watt!

Watt is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Vegas has escaped the position, nice work there.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Vegas tries to bench press Watt off him but Watt keeps the position.

Vegas manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Watt is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Vegas's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Vegas's back!
Watt punches the canvas rather than the man.

Watt is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Watt is working for a rear naked choke. Vegas is not defending it well and Watt has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Vegas refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Vegas's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:53 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Scott Watt!
A very excited looking Scott Watt made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
