PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Hazlehurst (ranked 3110 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hanny Sledgehammer (ranked 2829 p4p, 0 weight class). Hazlehurst comes to the cage accompanied by Queen - One Vision. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Hanny Sledgehammer!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hazlehurst has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Sledgehammer.

Hazlehurst is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Sledgehammer's half guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Sledgehammer lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Hazlehurst closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Sledgehammer pushes Hazlehurst away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Hazlehurst gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Hazlehurst drops his hands momentarily and Sledgehammer takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Hazlehurst changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sledgehammer tries to avoid it but Hazlehurst manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sledgehammer to the ground. Sledgehammer escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Hazlehurst got a little sloppy there for a moment and Sledgehammer has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hazlehurst has managed to get both his arms back between Sledgehammer's legs - danger averted.

Well Sledgehammer has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
