Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mikko Alatalo (ranked 1422 p4p, 175 weight class) and Bismack Kagonbo (ranked 716 p4p, 92 weight class). Kagonbo has chosen Voodoo as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Kagonbo slips a jab from Alatalo.
Kagonbo swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Alatalo misses with a wild body shot.
Nice defenses there by Alatalo.
Kagonbo lands with an uppercut that bounces Alatalo off the cage and back into range.
Alatalo scores with a jab to the body.
Kagonbo throws an overhand right that lands on Alatalo's shoulder, as Alatalo tries to avoid the shot.
Kagonbo misses with an uppercut. Alatalo saw that one coming.
Mikko Alatalo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kagonbo works Alatalo's body with a nice hook.
Alatalo looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Alatalo throws out a loose jab but Kagonbo uses good head movement to avoid it.

Alatalo fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kagonbo manages to avoid it.

and Kagonbo cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
It looks like Mikko Alatalo has been cut.
Alatalo keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Kagonbo.
Kagonbo's jab looks to have found its range, popping Alatalo under the eye.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kagonbo tries to land a leg kick but Alatalo saw it coming and moves away.
A quick step to the side and Alatalo tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
A punch lands to the side of Kagonbo 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Alatalo throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Kagonbo walks into a stiff left hand from Alatalo.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Alatalo!
It looks like Bismack Kagonbo has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Alatalo is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Alatalo punishes Kagonbo's body with a nice straight punch.
Kagonbo lands a lovely overhand right.
Alatalo throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kagonbo throws out a counter right but Alatalo avoids it with no problem.
Kagonbo takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Kagonbo drops Alatalo with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Alatalo looks back up at him and smiles so Kagonbo waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Alatalo is rocked!

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Alatalo wants to stay close but Kagonbo steps back to make room for something. Alatalo seems frozen to the spot and bam! huge swing of the leg from Kagonbo and Alatalo drops like he has been shot! A huge head kick and it's all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Bismack Kagonbo!
Bismack Kagonbo got down on his knees post fight and begged the management for a title shot. 'Please, I want that title shot so bad! Give it to me!'
