Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Goji Kano (ranked 2929 p4p, 248 weight class) and James MacLaren (ranked 2996 p4p, 249 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Goji Kano!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James MacLaren!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Cecil Peabody and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kano goes for a double leg but MacLaren avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as MacLaren continues to drive forward.
MacLaren now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Kano fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
MacLaren swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from MacLaren is defended easily by Kano.
MacLaren has a takedown stuffed.
MacLaren looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Kano shoots in for a takedown but MacLaren shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Goji Kano. That's going to take a lot out of him.
MacLaren closes the distance and clinches up with Kano, looking for a takedown. MacLaren pushes Kano against the cage but Kano circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
MacLaren drives through and clinches with Kano against the cage.
MacLaren lands a takedown into guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kano is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. MacLaren is aware though and is defending well.
Kano is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but MacLaren frees his head nicely. Oh but Kano has switched to an armbar! MacLaren is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
