Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Davis (ranked 4223 p4p, 433 weight class) and Juan De Souza (ranked 4466 p4p, 444 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis connects with a looping right hand.
De Souza throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
De Souza misses with a right hand
letting Davis counter with a right hand.
De Souza misses with a leg kick
and Davis counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Davis moves out of range of the leg kick from De Souza.
De Souza throws a left and a right that both miss
and De Souza takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
A nice inside leg kick there by De Souza. That's going to slow Davis down.
De Souza looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Davis ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

A looping hook to the body misses from Davis. De Souza does a little dance to reset his feet.
