Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kuuppa throws a leg kick

and Nu counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Kuuppa looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Kuuppa is trying to push Nu away but Nu has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Nu is looking for a takedown.
Kuuppa gets underhooks to prevent Nu's takedown attempt.
Kuuppa misses with a short punch on the inside.

Nu breaks the clinch.

Nu looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

Nu decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kuuppa looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Kuuppa swings for the body but Nu moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Nu changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kuuppa looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Kuuppa felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Nu is working to tighten his grip on Kuuppa's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Kuuppa has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Nu is really squeezing tight and eventually Kuuppa passes out! Nu breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Skrat Nu!
Skrat Nu bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
