Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between King Bundy (ranked 21629 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimbo Covert (ranked 2810 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bundy moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Bundy fails in his attempt to clinch.
Bundy misses with a double jab
enabling Covert to counter with a crisp jab.
Covert throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Covert throws a leg kick but Bundy checks it.
A slow jab from Bundy misses its intended target.

Bundy decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Covert is refusing to be controlled, as Bundy sits in half guard.
Covert is looking for a sweep. Bundy is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Covert gets back to full guard.

Covert is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bundy has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Covert to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Bundy is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Covert pulls down on the head and he's put Bundy to sleep! This one is all over!
