The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Markov shoots in looking for a takedown. Casey tries to sprawl out of it but Markov keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Casey manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Markov tries to land a body kick

and Casey counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Markov is not content to let Casey control the position.
Casey is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Markov pushes Casey off and gets back to his feet.

Casey shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Markov's guard.
Markov wants to stand up but Casey is controlling him.

Casey won't allow Markov to get back to his feet.
Casey postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Casey wants to control from the top but Markov keeps moving.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Yuri Markov will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Markov seems to be stalking Casey here. He circles momentarily and then unleashes a devastating head kick! Casey drops like a stone, out cold! WOW! Are you kidding me!? What a knockout!
