Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Reggie Hutchinson (ranked 3181 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scotty Bapp (ranked 2711 p4p, 319 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Reggie Hutchinson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Scotty Bapp!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Alec Ball and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown attempt by Hutchinson or perhaps it was just good defense by Bapp, which made it look bad.
Bapp throws a right hand that Hutchinson ducks under and follows up with a left that Hutchinson also avoids with ease.

Hutchinson feints and as Bapp raises his hands in defense, Hutchinson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Bapp looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Hutchinson wants to control from the top but Bapp keeps moving.

Hutchinson avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Bapp keeping moving, preventing Hutchinson from controlling successfully.

Bapp looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Bapp is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hutchinson slips nicely into half guard.
Bapp is trying to stand back up but Hutchinson is controlling him
Hutchinson lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Hutchinson is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Bapp actively working from the bottom here.
Bapp is trying to stand up here but Hutchinson is controlling him well.

Hutchinson seems to be looking for submissions.

Bapp manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Hutchinson keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

Bapp breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Hutchinson throws a hook but Bapp avoids it easily.
Bapp throws a lazy head kick
and Hutchinson counters with a left and a right that stings Bapp.
Bapp throws a combination that misses
and Hutchinson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Hutchinson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bapp pinned against the cage. Bapp gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Bapp gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Bapp throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Hutchinson escapes and throws Bapp's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Hutchinson tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Hutchinson is looking to take a break and control but Bapp is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Bapp is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Hutchinson asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Bapp managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Hutchinson.
Hutchinson wants to control but Bapp is keeping him busy.

Hutchinson stands up and beckons Bapp to his feet.

Hutchinson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Hutchinson missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.

Hutchinson is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Bapp sees it coming and defends easily.

Bapp looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

Hutchinson looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Bapp looking for submissions from an awkward position here.

Hutchinson is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Bapp is looking to escape.
Bapp taking some punishment here, with Hutchinson in his half guard.
Hutchinson uses his free foot to push down on Bapp's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Bapp.
Hutchinson tries to control but Bapp wriggling away.
Bapp is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Hutchinson with shots to the head and body - Bapp looks very uncomfortable down there.

Hutchinson has isolated one of Bapp's arms. Bapp looking to fight him off but Hutchinson twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!

An out of breath Reggie Hutchinson thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
