The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Islam wants to counter with a clinch but Lopez pushes him away.

Islam takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Islam wants to work for an arm triangle but Lopez is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

The ref is looking closely - Islam is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Islam is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
