Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ivar Lothbrok (ranked 3714 p4p, 424 weight class) and Artemis Entreri (ranked 3955 p4p, 444 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Jorge Garcia and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Entreri tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Lothbrok counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Entreri wants to control but Lothbrok is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Lothbrok is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Lothbrok works his way into side control.
Lothbrok thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Lothbrok wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Entreri, who protects the arm well.
Entreri is trying to control Lothbrok's posture but Lothbrok avoids it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lothbrok cracks Entreri with a big right hand but Entreri just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Entreri has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Lothbrok is working away from the top position though.

Entreri is looking to control Lothbrok's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Entreri avoid being mounted?

The fight stays on the outside here - Entreri looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Lothbrok throws an overhand right that lands on Entreri's shoulder, as Entreri tries to avoid the shot.
Entreri tries to close the distance and clinch but Lothbrok swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Lothbrok feinted with a counter takedown.
Lothbrok moves out of range as Entreri throws a body kick.
Entreri bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

and Lothbrok counters with a single leg into guard. Entreri didn't expect that.
Lothbrok is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Entreri can do to turn this around?
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lothbrok is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Entreri is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Entreri seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Lothbrok does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Entreri is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Lothbrok is just riding it out for now. Entreri eventually gives up the hold.

Entreri felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Well Lothbrok has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
