Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Vasiliy Kulik (ranked 2789 p4p, 312 weight class) and Nick Tropper (ranked 2476 p4p, 291 weight class). Nick Tropper acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Vasiliy Kulik!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nick Tropper!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Reed Andrews and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kulik cracks Tropper with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Tropper misses with a wild body shot.
Tropper throws a right hand that Kulik ducks under and follows up with a left that Kulik also avoids with ease.
Tropper fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
It looked like Kulik was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Tropper has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Tropper tries to clinch up but Kulik circles away and keeps his distance.
Kulik swats away the attempt to clinch by Tropper.
Kulik connects with a looping right hand.
The fight stays on the outside here - Tropper looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Kulik throws out a loose jab but Tropper uses good head movement to avoid it.
A nice side step and Tropper releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Kulik takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Sloppy strikes from Tropper. Those never looked like landing.
Tropper wants to clinch.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Kulik.
Tropper doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Tropper lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Kulik at a distance.
Kulik looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A combination from Tropper does no damage.

Tropper gets a clinch.
Tropper misses with the head strike.

Tropper gets control of Kulik's arms and successfully pulls guard. Tropper will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Kulik tries to stand but Tropper is controlling from the bottom.
Tropper wants to sweep here but Kulik controlling him for the moment.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Tropper wants to control but Kulik passes easily into half guard.
Kulik wants to stand but Tropper has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Tropper gets full guard.
Kulik wanted to stand there but Tropper had control of the position.

Tropper has a closed guard, preventing Kulik from standing up.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Tropper is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kulik is aware though and is defending well.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Tropper looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Tropper tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kulik paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Kulik lands with a right hand.
Tropper throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kulik.
Tropper displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kulik throws out the jab.
Despite the aggression on Tropper's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Kulik wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Kulik throws a series of punches but Tropper moves out of range.
Tropper misses with a body shot.
Kulik appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Tropper looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Kulik connects with a good right hand that stumbles Tropper. Tropper circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Kulik ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Kulik throws a sloppy head kick and Tropper moves out of range easily.
Jab, jab by Kulik - just one landing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Tropper tries to clinch there but Kulik circles away.
It looked like Kulik was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Tropper.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Tropper tries to clinch up.
It looks like Kulik has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.
Kulik throws a hook but Tropper blocks it.
Tropper is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Kulik with a body shot.
Kulik throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Tropper sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Tropper throws a series of punches but Kulik moves out of range.
Tropper avoids the head kick by Kulik.
Tropper throws a right and a left that both miss.
Kulik avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Kulik with a nice cross.
Sloppy strikes from Tropper. Those never looked like landing.
Kulik lands a right hook to the body.
Kulik looks to land a left hand but Tropper moved out of range nicely.

Kulik lands with a slapping head kick.
Kulik really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Tropper misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

A little feinted left hand from Kulik on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Kulik works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Kulik lands a nice hook to Tropper's body. Tropper takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Vasiliy Kulik dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Kulik throws a series of punches but Tropper moves out of range.
Tropper looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Kulik throws a series of punches but Tropper avoids them all with ease.
Tropper tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Kulik manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Tropper is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Kulik is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Tropper tries to close the distance and clinch but Kulik swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Kulik throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Nick Tropper seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Tropper rushes Kulik and presses him up against the cage.
A right handed body shot lands from Kulik.

Kulik escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Kulik drops Tropper with a beautiful combination! Tropper stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Kulik is looking for the KO!


Tropper is rocked!


It looks like Nick Tropper has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kulik closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Tropper out cold! Tropper corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:44 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Vasiliy Kulik!
