Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Samuel Salazar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dmitry Vodka!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Aleksandr Martynov and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Vodka gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Vodka is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Salazar can't fight it off and eventually Vodka manages to take the fight to the floor. Salazar looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Salazar manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Vodka throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Salazar blocks it with crossed arms.

Vodka turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Salazar throws Vodka to one side and escapes!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Vodka gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Vodka creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

Salazar manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Salazar seems keen to control Vodka's posture.
Salazar lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.


Salazar stands and steps away. Vodka gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Vodka darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Salazar makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

Vodka fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Salazar, pushing him back against the cage.
Vodka tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Salazar avoids it.
Vodka is trying to break the clinch but Salazar has him pressed against the cage.
Vodka misses with a short punch on the inside.
Vodka is trying to break free.

Salazar gets control of Vodka's arms and successfully pulls guard. Salazar will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Vodka wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Salazar's closed guard. He's half up but Salazar has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Salazar pivots and extends the arm, Vodka falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Salazar! Well done that man!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Samuel Salazar!
