Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Robert Doory (ranked 4826 p4p, 380 weight class) and Nosmo King (ranked 24520 p4p, 0 weight class). Nosmo King has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Robert Doory!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Nosmo King!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Chris Saunders and Josh West.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King fails with the takedown.

Doory moves into the clinch.

Doory ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Doory no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

King slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Doory is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
King in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Doory is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as King holds on and takes a little breather.

King fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Doory to the ground. King is now in Doory's guard.

King throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Doory works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Doory on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Doory tries to get out of the position.
King stops Doory from standing up.
King is working Doory over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Doory is trying to control the position but King postures up.

King is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Doory throws a nice looking combination but King bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

King has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Doory is on him like a limpet, forcing King back against the cage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

King breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Doory shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. King is trying to defend but Doory finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Doory misses with a head shot. King uses the momentum to regain guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now King is on top in guard.

King slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

King keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Doory's head.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Doory takes a swing at King's ribcage but misses.
King shoots in looking for a takedown but Doory manages to keep the fight standing, pushing King's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Robert Doory has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nosmo King.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Doory misses with an attempted mid kick.
King fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Doory throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. King was covering up waiting for the punch and Doory finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Doory content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
King has control of Doory's left arm, preventing Doory from doing any damage.
Doory not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

That was a close second round but I would say that Robert Doory will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Doory looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! King has picked Doory up and slammed him! Doory can't keep hold of the triangle and King manages to pass to side control!

King has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Doory is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but King is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, King cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The referee warns Doory that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
King lands a big shot there that rocks Doory but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
King fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Nosmo King really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Shade Tree Nutrition logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
