Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Raven Danny (ranked 5070 p4p, 426 weight class) and David Gomes (ranked 1681 p4p, 198 weight class). Gomes has chosen AC/DC - Thunderstruck as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Richard Clark and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A lazy body kick from Danny
and Gomes counters with a shoot takedown. Danny fights it but they end up in guard.
Danny can't keep his opponent in guard - Gomes advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Danny looking for submissions off his back.
Gomes passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Danny!
Gomes controlling the pace for now.
Gomes trying to control but Danny is having none of it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Danny prevents Gomes from taking his back.
Gomes can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Danny is looking to escape.
Danny has given up his back.

Gomes trying to control momentarily.
Gomes might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Danny haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Gomes has got one arm under Danny's chin. This could be trouble... Danny trying to control the other hand but Gomes gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Danny has tapped out! The fight is over!
