Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hossein Vaziri (ranked 5348 p4p, 494 weight class) and Winston Markus (ranked 5145 p4p, 490 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Ian Loll and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vaziri throws a body shot but no joy.
Markus is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
It looks like Hossein Vaziri has been cut.
Markus misses the shot to the body.
Hossein Vaziri seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Markus throws a shot from downtown. Vaziri moves away and avoids it.
Vaziri jabbing away but nothing is landing.
A looping hook to the body misses from Vaziri. Markus does a little dance to reset his feet.
Vaziri throws a body punch but Markus moves out of range.
Markus throws a hook but Vaziri avoids it easily.
Markus lands an overhand right.

Vaziri ducks right into an uppercut from Markus.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vaziri slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Markus throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Vaziri misses with a straight right.
Vaziri throws a jab but it's blocked by Markus.
Vaziri lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Vaziri lands with an overhand left.
Markus feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Vaziri sprawling to the canvas! Vaziri rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Markus finish him?!
Vaziri is rocked!
Markus fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Oh Vaziri is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Vaziri is breathing heavily.
Vaziri ducks under a wild hook from Markus.
Markus connects with a picture perfect right hand that knocks Vaziri out cold! This one is over in a flash!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Winston Markus!
