Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lance Hilton (ranked 7166 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lincoln Morissette (ranked 6760 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lance Hilton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lincoln Morissette!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Columbo Gatti and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morissette shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Hilton eats them both and turns towards Morissette to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.


It looks like Lance Hilton has been cut.
Morissette throws a right hand that Hilton ducks under and follows up with a left that Hilton also avoids with ease.
Morissette misses with a two punch combination.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Hilton.

A jab-cross combination lands for Morissette and sends Hilton crashing to the mat! Morissette follows him down to the mat - Hilton regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

Hilton is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Morissette to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Morissette shrugs it off.

You get the feeling that Morissette really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Hilton has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Morissette's face.
Morissette's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Hilton has hold of Morissette's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Morissette manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
