Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Victor Mordino (ranked 3204 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yoki Mayoniko (ranked 3404 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

With a record of 16 - 10 - 2, fighting out of New York, Yoki Mayoniko!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mordino walks into a left hand.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Mordino is defended easily by Mayoniko.

Mordino shoots in for a double leg but Mayoniko sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Mordino tries to close the distance and clinch but Mayoniko swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Mordino closes the distance and clinches up with Mayoniko, looking for a takedown. Mordino pushes Mayoniko against the cage but Mayoniko circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Mordino fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Mayoniko looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Mayoniko defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Mordino.
A solid leg kick lands there for Mayoniko.
Mordino throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mayoniko's waist but Mayoniko gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mordino off to one side.
Mayoniko looks like he wants to counter punch here.

Mayoniko has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Mordino is on him like a limpet, forcing Mayoniko back against the cage.

Mayoniko's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Mayoniko clobbers Mordino with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Mayoniko scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Mordino doesn't seem bothered though.

Mayoniko connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Mordino fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Mordino takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Mordino tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Mayoniko manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Mordino with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Mayoniko to score with a decent uppercut.

Mordino shoots in for a takedown but Mayoniko shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Mordino misses with a takedown attempt - Mayoniko sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

A relieved looking Yoki Mayoniko thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
