Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Seiryu Machida (ranked 1402 p4p, 191 weight class) and Paul Sight (ranked 2552 p4p, 296 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Paul Sight!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Aafke Stam and Patrick Alders.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machida misses with a kick to the body.
Machida throws an off balance right hand
and Sight counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
A solid body kick from Machida.
Sight avoids a kick to the body.
Sight misses with a low kick.
Paul Sight seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice uppercut lands for Sight. That snapped Machida's head back.
Sight misses with a hook
enabling Machida to counter with a crisp jab.
Machida throws a half hearted mid kick.
Machida moves away from the strike by Sight.
Machida seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Machida jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Sight fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Machida moves into the clinch.
Sight has had enough of the clinch but Machida keeps him there for the moment.

Sight tries to circle away but Machida has him pinned against the ropes.
Sight looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Sight is trying to break the clinch but Machida has him pressed against the ropes.
Sight has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Machida unloads a knee to the mid-section. Sight lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Machida is leaning against Sight and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
A short body shot lands from Machida as the two fighters clinch.
Machida connects with a nasty looking knee right to Sight's face.
Machida lands an elbow inside.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Machida.
Machida lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.

It looks like Paul Sight has been cut.
I was talking to Machida's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Sight takes an elbow to the temple.

Sight's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Sight looks to land a combination but Machida avoids it well.
Nice straight punches there by Sight. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Sight.

Machida forces Sight back against the ropes and clinches.

Sight wants to break the clinch but can't.
Machida lands a hook that snaps the head of Sight backwards.
Machida lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!

Machida prevents Sight from breaking the clinch.
Sight looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Sight wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Machida has him pressed against the ropes.
Machida with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
Machida lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Sight or not.
Machida lands a left hand that snaps the head of Sight backwards.

Sight is rocked!
Machida jerks Sight's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Sight drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Machida goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Machida because Sight was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.
