Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Levin Childs (ranked 5985 p4p, 537 weight class) and Jock Langdon (ranked 5730 p4p, 529 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Levin Childs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jock Langdon!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Robert Twigg and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Langdon missing with a left hand there. Childs was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Childs checks a low kick from Langdon.
It looked like Childs wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Childs tries to clinch but Langdon is having none of it.
Langdon tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Childs was well out of range. Poor timing from Langdon.
Childs was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.

Childs gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Langdon keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Childs's head.
Langdon landing some decent shots from guard.
Langdon throwing strikes from guard but Childs blocks nicely.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Langdon postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Langdon missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Langdon is looking to work some ground and pound but Childs has wrist control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Langdon controlling from the top position.
Langdon trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Childs wants to get back to his feet but Langdon is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Langdon slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Langdon postures up and lands a big shot to Childs's brow.
Childs is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Langdon tries to free his leg and advance position but Childs is retaining full guard.
Langdon has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Langdon works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Langdon winds up and cracks Childs with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Langdon performing his best blanket impression for a moment.

Langdon is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Childs is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Jock Langdon!
