Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Killer Mr B (ranked 23580 p4p, 186 weight class) and Grizzley Adams (ranked 5414 p4p, 147 weight class). Killer Mr B could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Grizzley Adams's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Killer Mr B!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Grizzley Adams!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Bruno Lombardi and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Adams dives in and scores a takedown into Mr B's guard.
Adams trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Mr B might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Adams with a flurry of punches that miss.
Adams is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mr B is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Adams is aware though and is defending well.
Mr B can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Adams controls the pace.
Adams looking to pass the guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mr B wants to control the position but Adams says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Adams stalling.
Mr B could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Adams tries to pass to full mount but Mr B defends it.

Adams is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Mr B wants to control but Adams is keeping busy and won't allow it.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Adams scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Adams has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight.
Mr B takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Mr B is breathing heavily.
Mr B fails with the takedown
and Adams counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Adams lands with a nice combination. Mr B backs away looking to recover.


It looks like Killer Mr B has been cut.
Adams changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Killer Mr B seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Adams throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Mr B tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Adams is in Mr B's guard.

Adams gets to his feet - Mr B follows without any prompting.

Mr B gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Adams controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Adams looking to pass the guard.

Adams gets to his feet. Mr B looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Adams looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Adams slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Adams decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Mr B, up you get!

Adams closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Mr B to the mat! Mr B manages to get full guard.
Adams is stalling in the full guard.
Let's hope that Adams has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Adams works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Adams not doing much here.
Ground and pound from Adams.
Mr B is looking for a sweep. Adams is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Adams perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Adams has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Grizzley Adams dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Killer Mr B's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Mr B shoots in looking for a takedown. Adams tries to sprawl out of it but Mr B keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Adams manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Adams drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Mr B tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Adams must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Adams is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Adams.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Yet more stalling tactics from Adams.

Mr B looking for a guillotine here but Adams defends easily.
Adams slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Adams fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Mr B sprawls well initially but Adams persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Adams slows the pace down in half guard.
Adams really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mr B. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Adams postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Mr B to stand up.
Mr B shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Adams sprawls well. Adams wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Mr B gets slowly back to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Mr B gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Adams to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Mr B can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Adams controls the pace.

Adams stands up from Mr B's guard - Adams perhaps looking for a knockout.
Killer Mr B is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Nice shot lands for Adams.

Adams closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Adams lands in his opponent's guard.
Adams won't allow Mr B to sweep him here.
Adams forces his way into half guard.
Adams content to control rather than advance.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Grizzley Adams showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The cut man is working on Killer Mr B's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Mr B tries to clinch but Adams moves away

and Adams counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Adams content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Adams trying to pass the guard but Mr B defending well.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Adams looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Adams takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Adams controlling the action here.
Mr B won't allow Adams to pass to mount.
Adams keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Grizzley Adams is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Mr B shoots in looking for a takedown but Adams manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Mr B's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Mr B goes for a double leg but Adams avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Adams continues to drive forward.

Adams drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Adams is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Adams sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Mr B's guard.
Mr B tries to roll over but Adams keeps him under control.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Adams looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Adams gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Adams stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Mr B tries to clinch but Adams is having none of it.
Adams scores with a body shot.
Adams dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Adams throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Mr B stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Adams with a nice cross.
Adams lands with a nice body punch.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Mr B takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Adams lands with a shot to the body.

Adams closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Mr B quickly recovers to half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Adams slows the pace down in half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

And that's the end of the fight!
Grizzley Adams comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Adams has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
