Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dante Fiaschi (ranked 2058 p4p, 248 weight class) and Odchigin Khadan (ranked 729 p4p, 102 weight class). Fiaschi kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is ZZ Top - Sharp Dressed Man. Khadan has chosen Khoomii as his entrance music. Odchigin Khadan has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fiaschi closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Fiaschi is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Khadan.

Khadan is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Fiaschi sees it coming and defends easily.
Fiaschi has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Khadan is working away from the top position though.

Khadan is keen to just control but Fiaschi is a slippery customer.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Fiaschi changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Khadan tries to avoid it but Fiaschi manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Khadan to the ground. Khadan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Khadan let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.

Fiaschi dives in for a single leg takedown but Khadan sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Fiaschi utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Fiaschi moves away from the strike by Khadan.
Fiaschi throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Khadan's waist but Khadan gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Fiaschi off to one side.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
What can Fiaschi do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Fiaschi drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Khadan dives on top into guard.

Fiaschi has hold of Khadan's hands but Khadan slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Fiaschi is trying to control but can't.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Khadan is looking to advance position but Fiaschi won't allow it.
Khadan is looking to take a break and control but Fiaschi is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Odchigin Khadan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Fiaschi's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Fiaschi jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Khadan walks away with a smile on his face. Fiaschi gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
