Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Moleg Taktarov (ranked 6322 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aaron Fernandez (ranked 4379 p4p, 0 weight class). Taktarov has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Fernandez, as that shot connected.
Fernandez scores with the left hand. Taktarov knows he should have avoided that one.

Taktarov avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
A chopping leg kick lands by Taktarov.

Fernandez keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Oh Taktarov is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Fernandez tries to close the distance and clinch but Taktarov swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The fight stays on the outside here - Fernandez looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Fernandez tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Taktarov manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Taktarov swats away the attempt to clinch by Fernandez.
Fernandez moves in looking to clinch but Taktarov pushes him off.

A nice left hand lands by Fernandez.

Taktarov is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Fernandez to keep the fight standing.

Fernandez lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Taktarov backwards.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Fernandez lands a big right hand that drops Taktarov! The killer instinct kicks in and Fernandez finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Fernandez!
