Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Michael Riley (ranked 4668 p4p, 439 weight class) and Spas Spasov (ranked 2362 p4p, 274 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Spas Spasov enters the cage!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Spas Spasov!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riley misses the body punch
and Spasov counters with a series of strikes. Riley will be more careful next time no doubt.
Spasov shoots in but no luck this time.
Riley really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Riley swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Spasov has his takedown stuffed
and Riley counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Spasov forces Riley back against the cage and clinches.

Spasov breaks the clinch.
Spasov moves out of range of the strikes.
Riley has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Riley throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Spasov counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Spasov lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Riley is rocked!
Spasov looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Riley swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Oh Riley is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Spasov gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Spasov breaks the clinch.
Riley seems to have got his legs back now.
A punch combination from Spasov misses.
It looked like Riley was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Spasov.
Spasov misses with the combination.
Spasov tries for a takedown but Riley circles away easily
and Spasov takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Michael Riley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Spas Spasov.

Spasov dives in for a single leg takedown but Riley sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
The fight stays on the outside here - Spasov looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Riley is trying to break the clinch but Spasov has him pressed against the cage.
Spasov misses with a short punch on the inside.
Spasov tries to work over Riley's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Spasov tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Riley is trying to break free.
Spasov keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Riley's efforts to push away.

Spasov pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Riley gets tackled into the cage by Spasov. Spasov maintains the clinch.
Spasov wants to take the fight to the mat but Riley manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Spasov has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Riley is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Spasov pulls guard successfully.
Spasov avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Spasov is looking to cinch up a triangle. Riley throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Spasov's body to avoid the submission. Spasov has instead reached around Riley's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Spasov arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Spas Spasov!
A relieved looking Spas Spasov thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
