Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the featherweight division.

With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ishiihara Sakuraba!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sakuraba darts in looking for a takedown but Pablos gets double underhooks and turns Sakuraba into the cage.
Pablos wants to clinch

and Sakuraba counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Sakuraba is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Pablos is just riding it out for now. Sakuraba eventually gives up the hold.
Pablos has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Sakuraba is thwarting Pablos's attempts to control the position.
Sakuraba slips a nice elbow through Pablos's hands, connecting with Pablos's forehead.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pablos is looking to control Sakuraba's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Pablos avoid being mounted?
Sakuraba is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Pablos manages to escape and get back to his feet!

Sakuraba scores with a big shot! Pablos's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Pablos! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
