The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chandler throws a leg kick but Cassel sees it coming and moves out of range.
Chandler misses with a combination
and Cassel counters with a straight right hand.

It looks like Chris Chandler has been cut.

Cassel moves into range and clinches up with Chandler .

Chandler breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Cassel slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Cassel forces Chandler back against the cage and clinches.
Chandler throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Cassel blocks it with crossed arms.
Chandler is looking to break free of the clinch but Cassel has double underhooks.

Cassel manages to break the clinch.
Cassel defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Chandler .
Chandler throws a head kick that misses.
Cassel seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Chandler avoids the head kick by Cassel.
Chandler wants to counter with a clinch but Cassel pushes him away.

Chandler dives in and scores a takedown into Cassel's guard.

Cassel scrambles and gets back to his feet.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Cassel closes the distance and clinches.
Chandler jumps guard but Cassel stands there with Chandler around his waist. Chandler gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Cassel breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Chandler takes the fight into the clinch.
Chandler tries a body shot but Cassel blocks it.
Cassel lands a nice uppercut.
Chandler looking to throw knees to the head but Cassel is blocking nicely.
Chandler has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Cassel after a bit of a struggle.
Jorge Cassel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris Chandler .

Cassel manages to break the clinch.
Jorge Cassel is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Cassel lands a nice shot to the body.
Chandler throws a sloppy head kick and Cassel moves out of range easily.
Cassel lands with a kick to the ribs.
Chandler looks winded!
Cassel lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Cassel lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Chandler can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Cassel and Chandler drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Cassel.
