Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dominique Bell (ranked 1418 p4p, 96 weight class) and Klaus Chugman (ranked 1150 p4p, 78 weight class). Klaus Chugman has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 18 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dominique Bell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Klaus Chugman!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Alan Glass and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bell uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Chugman.

Chugman shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Chugman is figuring out what he wants to do next.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bell has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Chugman escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Chugman!

Bell's coaches at Death Valley Training Facility have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.

Bell has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Chugman can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Chugman is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Bell doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Chugman.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Chugman closes the distance and pushes Bell back into the cage.

Bell jumps guard but Chugman stands there with Bell around his waist. Bell gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Bell tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Chugman smiles and moves away.
Chugman slaps away a takedown attempt from Bell, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dominique Bell. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Horrible takedown attempt by Bell or perhaps it was just good defense by Chugman, which made it look bad.
Chugman ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bell moves away.

Chugman has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Chugman takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Chugman controlling the position well here. Bell rolled but Chugman kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
I really don't envy Bell right now.
Klaus Chugman has got the better of the ground game so far.

Chugman just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Bell is really stuck here.

Klaus Chugman showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Chugman is having to fend off submission attempts from Bell, who is looking to sink in the choke. Bell doesn't have the hooks in though and Chugman manages to reverse position! He's now on top, in his opponent's guard.
Bell will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Bell is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Chugman is aware though and is defending well.
Chugman stays in close to Bell's body and controls the position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Bell gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Klaus Chugman comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Chugman has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
